a - China feeding cup fashioned like a small tea pot with side handle, spout to front, opening, no lid. Unbranded. b - Stainless steel feeding cup, similar dimensions and descriptions. While unbreakable, needed binding on spout when hot drinks administered to patient. Base has: "(GR. FL KEMH)(S.S. BY PARAMOUNT MELB 48). These invalid cups were used, china (c.1910+) and s. steel (1960+) to feed fluids to incapacitated patients at KRH, now superceded by 'straw' tube utensils.
