Photograph with label "Locomotive Committee and others interested in the Procession 1903". The group of men sit in front of a railway carriage with "Loco Brigade" printed on a cloth draped on the carriage. To the right of this is the Eight Hour Day banner with the clasped hand symbol, circled by the words "UNITED WE STAND / DIVIDED WE FALL", "888" and "WORK / RECREATION / REST". On the left hand side of the clasped hands there is a picture of a horse drawn carriage with the word "PRIMITIVE" underneath it, and on the right there is a picture of a railway carriage with the word "PROGRESSIVE" underneath it. The main picture on the banner is a train superimposed on a picture of a bullock-drawn carriage and the words "3 Miles an hour / 1800" All the men in the photographs are wearing rosettes. On the back the photograph is stamped : "J.E. DAWSON / "COLVILLE" / 3 CECILY ST. / BLUFF POINT / DATE " See H88.609
