WATCH: Double-bottomed gold cased fob watch with gold chain. Movement: lever escapement. Machine engraved and marked: A.W.W. Co. / WALTHA MASS. / 15 JEWELS , Serial no. 12807398. The American Waltham Watch Company, with the name in this form, existed from 1885 to 1905/6. White enamel dial with roman numerals, inset second dial. Viewing window in case front with roman numerals repeated on gold. Hallmarks: On case: crown, S , leopard's head, 18 and 807398; on chain FC , crown, 18 and crown and 18 on each link - these marks do not match a English goldsmith's sequence.
