a. Thimble with intricate patterning externally, engraving of serpentine design on bottom half of the thimble, top half has honeycomb like patterning. Possibly hand made by jeweller - DAVIS JEWELLER OF HALIFAX. Possible maker "GU" (?), George Unite? b. Thimble Case. Leather on the outside with small metal clasp that closes the case. Internally there is satin material on each side of the case which is divided into halves. Felt around one internal side fir snugger fit of thimble. Wording on satin material on one side reads: "DAVIS JEWELLER HALIFAX". Royal crown is above wording. Words and crown in gold applied lettering. Hinge at the bottom of case for opening and closing of case.
