Concertina is labelled: "LACHENAL & Co / PATENT CONCERTINA / manufacturers / LONDON" on paper label glued onto red leather under fretwork pattern keyboard surround. At other end is a paper label number: "173393". Impressed into wood on the hand piece is "STEELREEDS" and "ENGLISH MAKE / TRADE MARK". 30 Keys, bone or casein mahogany. Six sided box with key. Also in box a receipt possibly for repair (?) "LACHENAL & Co / 4 Little James Street, / London W.C / Received the 9th day of April 1923 / of Mr Clive W. Halliday / the sum of one pounds fifteen shillings and / - pence / 1:15:0 / P.O.O. / For Lachenal & Co. / With Thanks". The "s" on the end of the word pounds on the receipt is crossed out.
