White paper receipt for three hundred pounds worth of war bonds, prospectus dated 26 September 1944, receipt dated 30 October 1944. "RECEIPT FOR CASH SUBSCRIPTION/RECEIVED FROM C.L.J SMITH". Printed in black ink, handwritten details also in black ink, two blue ink stamps "COMMONWEALTH BANK OF AUSTRALIA PERTH, W.A./BONDS & STOCK/DEPARTMENT". Also stamped in blue across the top of the receipt "SECOND VICTORY LOAN, No. 59, 2 1/2% 15/10/49"
