Impressed on blade "HIND'S PATENT / DOUBLE HOLLOW GROUND / BURGON & BALL / SYMBOL / PATENT / NO / 291 / B.B / MADE IN ENGLAND. Leather hand strap for support when operating shears. Handle covered with sheep's wool. Blade kept closed with piece of wire and leather. See H86.96.
