CLAY PIPE HEAD

Clay pipe head with decoartion on the bowl. This form of making pipes was adopted in the late 19th Century and was termed 'Rebus' (see ref), where a representation of maker's name was shown by a figure or design. This design shows a crown on top of a Lyre. Object was found in Kanowna.
