One medal - obverse: man's head in relief, 'PAXTON' alonside and 'L.C. Wyon' beneath. Reverse: 'THE/CRYSTAL PALACE/-/DESIGNED BY/SIR JOSEPH PAXTON/OPENED/JUNE.10.1854'.
Other medal - obverse: Victoria & ALbert in relief, 'VICTORIA D.G. BRITANNIARUM REGINA F.D. ALBERTUS PRINCEPS CONJUX/MDCCCLIV'. Reverse: Britannia, angel & 2 other figures in relief with Crystal Palace in background, above: 'ORNATUR PROPRIIS INDUSTRIA DONIS', below: 'G.G. ADAMS' & 'MDCCCLIV'.
