White body with clear glaze. Described by Christies (Aug. 16,1979. number 211d) as 'black-printed and coloured in green and gilt with flowers issuing from rockwork.' Can't verify that it is black- printed - may mean bat-printed?. No marks. Pattern number '1653'. Identical pattern in Leonard Whiter Spode plate 157 and described as 'Prince of Wales china'. Pattern number indicates date of 1806. (see page 85).
