Written inside cover: "A E Austin \ 415 Vincent Street, \ Leederville and "L Duffield \ 1855" and on piece of paper stuck on inside cover: "This se weed was collected from the beaches \ and reefs around Rottnest Island, and was pressed and mounted by Miss Duffield in the year 1885 \ G E Austin \ 415 Vince Street, Leederville \ 11 September 29" Miss Duffield was the lighthouse keeper daughter.
