FOLDER, BOUND, CONTAINING COPY OF LORD NELSON'S HANDWRITING

A bound hard back folder, black entitled in gilt lettering "NELSON'S HANDWRITING". Containing words (copy): "God Bless you & Fremantle Horatio Nelson" claimed to have been written by Nelson with his left hand shortly after his right hand was amputated in 1797. The claim was made in a letter by a gunner's mate who recovered the scrap of handwriting. A copy of the letter is contained in the folder, also 2 copies of a letter of Mr Edwin Dawes. (From Samson family).
