Inscriptions: Not signed or dated. Back of frame label: "The Picture Arcade" "65 High Street, Fremantle". Subject Matter: Fremantle Harbour, evening. Biography: Charles Robert Tylden Russell, R.N. Arrived from London 29 June 1886. Took charge of Harbour & Light Department 5 July 1886. Exhibited in the First Annual Art exhibition - Wilgie Club 1890. Left WA about 1902. Other: The building with the red roofed tower was moved on several sets of rails from the site near the jetty to Cliff Street early C20th (1905 or 1906?). It was demolished to make room for the new Port Authority building.
