In Western Australia it consists of P. minor minor (Sternfeld), P. minor minima (Loveridge) , P. minor mitchelli (Badham), P. microlepidota (Glauert) and P. nullarbor (Badham). These taxa are described and keyed. The remaining species of Amphibolurus are transferred to Tympanocryptis, Gemmatophora and Ctenophorus.
