Mother-of-pearl shell handle lined with brass strip where blade folds away and silver strip down centre back. Silver shield on one side of handle. M.O.P. shell attached to brass with three silver pins. Silver blade with impressed scroll pattern on one side. Silver marks: (crown), (lion passant), 'f', 'A.S.'; Sheffield, 1898-99.
