Elaborately decorated, two-handled, lidded cup, surmounted by wreath-bearing female figures in loose robe. Beaten decoration of mainly leafy and floral designs. Hallmarked: 'H.W (crown) (lion) i' = Sheffield, 1901-02, makers Lee & Wigfull. Engraved on one face of the bowl with a scene from the game of soccer and on the other face: 'British Football Association of Western Australia/ CHARITY CUP/ METROPOLITAN DISTRICT/ Perth, Fremantle & Midland jet.'
Wooden base painted black, encricle with silver band, on which are engraved the cup winners from 1903 to 1961, the first being Olympic holders and the last Swan Valley.
