GUN - JAPANESE PERCUSSION LOCK CONVERTED FROM MATCHLOCK

Japanese Tanegashima. In good condition. Ramrod missing. Muzzleloading musket. Possibly converted form matchlock ignition to percussion ignition.Barrel is octagon shape with flared muzzel.On stock, a small smear of red paint which may be a U.S.I. number rubbed off. Number covered with polythene and fastened with tape.
