"WESTERN AUSTRALIA \ CERTIFICATE OF DISCHARGE \ For Seaman discharged before the Superintendent of a Mercantile marine Office \ in the \ United Kingdom, a British Consul, or a Shipping officer in British Possession abroad." For "SS Arrino" voyage London to Australia. Made out for "Cecil Smith" age 4, born in Bristol. "Engaged 7.9.16 discharged at Bunbury 19.10.16.". Mr Freeman-Smith's family came to Australia in 1916 travelling as crew. All members therefore had to be formally discharged.
