Found with records of Royal Commission on Miner's Phthisis (1910 \ 11 1911 \ 12). a. Valve? Knurled knob & hexagon nuts for coupling to pipes. "STEPHENS \ PATEN CLIMAX \ DUST ALLAYER" (on side of body). "STEPHEN'S PATENT DUST ALLAYER \ PREVENTS MINER'S PHTHISIS \ No 2" (on face of knob).
