[.a], [.b] & [.c]: kit contains three mouth props, prop A, B and C. They have been numbered by me accordingly. The introduction reads; 'The Hare Mouth Prop. Holds the mouth open, the lips and cheeks out of the way; keeps the tongue in subjection, and permits the use of cotton rolls in place of rubber dam. The operator has the use of both hands, the light is reflected on the work and the patient is comfortable...These props are ideal in a variety of operations, especially in treating teeth, in inserting cement and amalgam fillings, in crown work and in a great variety of operations where cotton rolls may be substituted for the rubber dam. In brief, it is more comfortable for the patient and expedites the operator's work.' 'Hare Mouth Prop `A'. For anterior teeth'. This fits onto the front teeth, holding whole mouth open for work on the anterior teeth. Hare Mouth Prop B; a 'reversible prop for posterior teeth. It can be used on either side of the mouth. it distends the cheeks ... the teeth are exposed through the openings.' Is used on one side of the mouth. 'Hare Moth Prop C is a small reproduction of Prop B. It is made for use in the mouths of children'.
