T-SHIRT, Plumber's

H1990.242

Standard issue t-shirt by Matthew Hall and it has the words "Matthew Hall" in large yellow lettering on the front. Above this the letters "SS" have been added in the same colour. It is an ordinary dark blue raglan sleeved t-shirt, but has had the edging around the neck removed making the neck wider than it would have been. The t-shirt was standard issue together with the helmet (H90.248) and jacket (H90.242). Boots were also issued but were not donated to the museum. There was a waiting period of two weeks before being issued with the jacket. The t-shirt belonged to Ross Peet, a plumber who works in Perth or up north, and lives in Margaret River when he has time. He has worked on the Princess of Wales wing at Fremantle Hospital, the Merlin Hotel and the R & I tower behind the Palace Hotel. See H90.235-237, 242, 244-245 and 248-9 for other objects and costume relating to his work as a plumber.
