VASE, porcelain, handpainted with flying ducks by Emma Annie Stella Cotton

Vase with bulbous mid section, narrowed neck and base and wider mouth. Northern Mallard flying ducks, both female (brown) and male (green iridescent necks and curled tail feathers and grey and white wings) are painted against a brown-blue background, with reeds on the base. The rim of the neck is gold and the inside iridescent striated pink. The base is stamped with a green maker's mark and 'VICTORIA.CZECHO-SLAVAKIA'. Vase is signed on base by artist 'Painted/by/E. Cotton/1929.'
