large B&W photo, in painted brown wooden frame with extended crossed corners, glass-front c 1929-30, Sig Schlam dressed in racing gear, beret on head, seated on motorcycle facing camera straight-on, triple straight line border to edges of print, written at top 'THE SPORTING GALLERY/ (11) Champion Motorcyclist: Sig Schlam', at bottom written in one line of type 'Known as the track master, Schlam was the outstanding rider at the Claremont Speedway last season. He had things practically hiw own way and won every cup for which he was eligible to participate'.
