A gold 1 sovereign coin. The obverse features a Veiled and Draped bust of Queen Victoria and the lettering: 'VICTORIA · DEI · GRA · BRITT · REGINA · FID · DEF · IND · IMP' and the mintmark of the engraver 'T.B.' under the bust. The reverse features St. George and the Dragon, with the date and engraver mintmark 'B.P.' underneath. The mintmark 'P' is visible on the ground under King George.
