MURAL SKETCH

H1993.80

Pencil sketch on white paper. Shows man wielding pneumatic drill or jack hammer. The tool is at right angles to his body, and his right hand is holding a handle at the end of the tool. His left hand holds a stability bar which extends from under the centre of the tool. The tool is positioned just below the man's eye level. The man is wearing short sleeves, trousers, boots, protective gloves and a hard hat with in-built light. The light suggests that he is either working in a mine or a similarly dark environment. The sketch is signed: 'LS 86 dec'.
