Pair of grey, blue, and orange leather ‘Kookaburra’ brand cricket batting gloves for left handed batter. Each glove has three layers of ‘sausage roll’ finger protection on top of each finger and back of the hand. Leather covered top layer with royal blue high density foam in middle. Two blue leather diamond shapes sewn into top side of little finger, two orange diamonds sewn into top side of ring finger, one orange and one blue diamond sewn into top of middle finger. Navy blue mesh fabric between each finger and around glove edges. White plastic square tag marked with blue outline of Kookaburra sewn into back of hand below middle and ring fingers. ‘KOOKABURRA’ marked in orange on rectangular plastic tag sewn into the leather across the base of the hand above wrist. Soft grey leather on palms covered with small round ventilation holes. Two round ventilation holes on underside of each finger. Double-sided towelling wrist band with blue and orange stripes at edges and blue and white pattern in the middle. Velcro flap with synthetic white covering attached to underside of wrist band. ‘KOOKABURRA’ and outline of kookaburra printed on synthetic covering over velcro. Justin Langer’s autograph and ‘342 VS SURREY/2006’ handwritten in black permanent marker across palm of both gloves.
[.1] Left hand glove. Six blue printed diamonds along back of index finger. Six small round hard plastic pieces are underneath the top layer for added protection. Justin Langer’s signature and ‘JUSTIN LANGER/W.A. & AUSTRALIA/Belta (fist)’ printed in blue and orange on white plastic tag sewn onto the base of index finger. Navy blue leather protective padding on outside of index finger. Thumb padded in the same way as other fingers, and has blue diamond sewn into it at top.
