Black and white official(?) team photograph of the 1937 Australian Women’s Cricket Team mounted on grey card with decorative border. Photograph shows 2 rows of women in front of a brick building, back row standing and front row sitting, wearing dark blazers with the Australian coat of arms on the pocket, white shirts and skirts and white hats. Pictured in back row left to right: Alice Wegemund, Amy Hudson, Pat Holmes , Mrs Peatfield, Winifred George, Marie Jegust, Kathleen Smith. Sitting: Sue Summers, Molly Flaherty, Nancy Clements, Margaret Peden, Elsie Deane, Hazel Pritchard, Peggy Antonio. Names of players handwritten in blue biro of card below photo. On top border above photograph, handwritten in blue biro, is ‘This picture was taken at the W.A.C.A when the Australian/Team was enroute to the English series. The West Australian/selection played for Australia, and her sister Bertha Ruby played/for the West/1937’. Stamped on the back is ‘”VIBERT” PHOTO SUPPLY’.
