Postcard with green printing on a cream background. At the top of the card : 'POST/CARD', with the coat of arms at the centre. Below this : 'THE ADDRESS ONLY TO BE WRITTEN ON THIS SIDE'. On the right side : the printed stamp value with 'WESTERN AUSTRALIA', an image of a swan in an oval border and the original printed value 'POSTAGE THREE PENCE'. This value has been overprinted with 'penny half penny' in blue ink. This would have been done in WA not London, where they were originally printed.
