Small book with maroon leather cover. Title impressed at top of spine in gold "THE/ PICKWICK/ PAPERS/ CHARLES/ DICKENS". Name of publisher impressed in gold at bottom of spine "COLLINS". Book possibly received as a prize - a square has been cut out of front page. Top edges of pages are gold, side and bottom are plain paper.
