Large round black button with single metal loop at reverse. Front of button is rounded with embossed cross in centre, encircled by "THE ST JOHN AMBULANCE BRIGADE". Embossed on reverse of button "JAS GROVE & SONS/ HALE OWEN". Also four duplicate buttons.
