Gold proof coin featuring crowned head of Elizabeth II and lettered 'ELIZABETH II/ AUSTRALIA 1997' on obverse, and on reverse, a Mangle's Kangaroo Paw of Western Australia with '150 DOLLARS'. Around each face is a decorative border resembling a scalloped edge. The coin is encased in perspex which fits into a recess of burgundy coloured velvet inside a wooden box. Enclosed is a Certificate of Authenticity, NO 000001. Outer packaging is a burgundy coloured cardboard box marked 'FLORAL EMBLEMS/ OF AUSTRALIA/ 1997 $ 150 GOLD COIN/ PROOF' with a gold embossed kangaroo paw within a black circle on a cerise square. Accompanying leaflet contains information on Kangaroo paw, Australia's unique flora, and the Canberra Mint.
