MUSIC CABINET, Pansy Francis

(.1) Jarrah music cabinet with 2 open shelves at top, 3 at bottom and hinged door in centre of cabinet, closing on another 2 shelves. The door is carved with scroll work and the face of Pan , playing his pan-pipes. The top panel of the cabinet is scalloped at the top, and is carved with scrollwork, and Pan (full body) playing his pipes. Cabinet door has 2 copper hinges and copper handle and key hole. Panel has been carved and then nailed onto cabinet door from the inside. Top shelf is slightly inset from the others, and is cut in diagonally at the centre of the shelf; to an oval. Sides of the cabinet are one-piece each, and have a 'spade' (as in King of Spades) shape cut out at the base, on left and right sides.
