MOVAD GLASS ADVERTISING SIGN - 'CROMPTON LAMPS'

Circular painted glass advertisement inscribed 'Crompton/ LAMPS/ FOR LASTING/ BRILLIANCE'. Painted yellow, blue and white, the latter three words are clear against a white background. A light globe dominates the centre of the image.
The advertisement is a 'movad', a pivoting sign containing a pendulum to shift the image, which is activated by the swaying of the frame on which it is displayed (see supplementary file for further details).
