BOX, BLUE RIBBON EU DE COLOGNE

Oblong cardboard box consisting of a cover (.1) and an insert (.2). Cover is papered in pale blue, and features a full colour scene of two couples dressed in central European-style traditional costume. They are dancing in a row on a hill, with a blossom tree, castle and alps in the background. Inscription on lid reads '1749/ Blue Ribbon/ EAU DE/ COLOGNE/ By/ Potter & Moore/ LONDON AND MELBOURNE/ ESTABLISHED 1749'. Inscription on side reads 'GIFT SET B.R.C. 109/ 1 TIN EAU de COLOGNE TALCUM B.R.C 14/ 1 CAKE EAU de COLOGNE SOAP B.R.C. 101'.
Insert slides sideways out of cover revealing blue papered sides and white, unlined interior.
The box was previously numbered CH76.345c.
