MODEL SHIP
H1987.856
Model ship built by Ernie "Shiner" Ryan, a prisoner at Fremantle Pris Given to Fremantle Hospital, who raffled it. It was won by Frank O'Donnell w was a child patient there at the time. Model of a four masted sailing ship - structure made of tin which was coated in flour and water glue and then covered with finely crushed white glass. The ocean on which it sails is made also of crushed glass. Encased in a wood framed glass case. One of two ships made by Ryan.
