Western Chromodoris
Chomodoris westraliensis
This species is generally common when found. The striking color blocking of blue, black and orange-yellow is noticeable in this and other closely related species in this genus. The external colour patterns have been found not to be species-specific with genetic tools revealing that some Chromodoris species can have different color patterns across their geographic range.
Evolution
This complex of species is currently under study at WAM by PhD candidate Kara Layton.
