ASH TRAY
CH1984.345
Round chrome ash tray in 2 parts: i) Top in chrome with 4 indentations for cigarettes with a hole in the centre to collect ash. A crest of "E.II.R." is on the lid. ii) Chrome base which collects ash. Underneath is stamped "K.G. LUKE \ MELBOURNE". Purchased on board "R.M.S. STRATHEDEN". The Ottley-Vears family came to Australia in 1948 but there is a discrepancy in the dates here, Elizabeth II came to the throne in 1952 so this may not have been purchased on journey out.
