[.b] Instructions to go on convict ship "Lencells" to W.A. 1 Oct. 1861.
[.c] "Comptroller General's Office \ Perth. 20 April 1871..." Armstrong Certifica of appt. promotion & discharged unfit - for pension .
[.d] "Paymasters Office \ Perth W.A. 17 April 1874..." Pension payment cannot be made until form correctly filled in.
[.e] "The Royal Hospital, \ Chelsea, S.W., \ ...28 July 1885". Armstrong awarded a "Deferred Pension \ of four pence a day from 15 December 1883".
[.f] "Royal Hospital \ Chelsea... 21 July 1885". Certificate of Out-Pension of 4d. per day (see also e).
[.g] "Imperial Pay Office W.A. \ Perth 3 Oct. 1885..." referring to an irregularity in filling out the pension form.
[.h] "S 32 - (late S 57.) \ `arrow' \ cover for payment to \ `line' \ .s.d. \ Pay or Wages \ Savings Bank Money \ Total \ `arrow' Prison Officer 7s pay envelope.
