A bronze proof penny. The obverse features an uncrowned bust of King George VI facing left and the lettering 'GEORGIVS VI D:G:BR:OMN:REX FIDEI DEF.' and the mintmark 'HP' under the bust. The reverse features a Kangaroo leaping to the left with a federation star under it's head and the date under it's tail, with 'AUSTRALIA' at the top and 'PENNY.' at the bottom.
