17 Jan 78 letter from Gil Ralph (Western Mining Corp.). This could be be described simply as a ladle. It may have had a variety of uses including a gold pour but it might also have been used for such purposes as white metal fo bearings and the like. If it is made from mild steel with a welded bottom, as is indicated in the sketch, it is unlikely to have been used for gold.
