PORTABLE SPITTOON

Square base, lion's paw feet, plated alloy bowl on painted steel cylinder. Kenneth Rout was a dental surgeon who qualified in Perth in 1927 and arrived in Kalgoorlie in 1945. Intending to stay for only a year, he remained until his death in 1988. Rout left his practice in Park Buildings, Hannan Street in 1977 when he commenced practising in his own home. He ceased his home practice in 1984.
