Engine No. 19426 (Listed in c.1980 as Engine No. 37393). Plaque on Electric Motor reads; ANDERSON ELECTRIC CAR CO/ DETROIT MICH. USA/ CLASS G – SIZE 22 17/ PATENTED/ MOTOR NO 19426 /VOLTS
84 volts (converted from 70 volts), top speed 25 mph (40 km/hr) and a range of 80 miles (129 km) per charge. Series controller (instead of gears) controls amperage and voltage. Date of manufacture: 1914 (Son of second owner, Ray Doring, replied to WAM staffer Edward J. Rigg’s inquiry for information from the family, stated that the museum’s Detroit Electric was his father’s 1908 model.) (?)
