Said to have been hired for use on Shackleton's "Endurance" expedition in 1915 and was sold to Mr Murphy by the owner Mr Fred Seeger. Plate on side : "THE / "PRESTWICH" CAMERA / PATENT." Also included is a print of Fred Murphy using this camera; (now located in Photo Cabinet). See also T70/289.
