Gold coloured round medal with metal linked chain.
[.1] medal; Obverse; embossed '19 [imperial crown] 62/ VII BRITISH EMPIRE/ and/ COMMONWEALTH/ GAMES/ PERTH/ WESTERN/ AUSTRALIA' surrounded by pentagonal shaped linked chains. Reverse; embossed kangaroo paw floral design surmounted by Floreat coat-of-arms. ‘ATHLETICS/ Pole Vault/ T.S. BICKLE/ Australia’ engraved to centre. 'K.G. LUKE. MELB.' embossed to circumference.
[.2-.4] chain link; fish-shaped gold coloured links with laurel leaf design. Chain is in three parts and is incomplete. 21 fish-shaped chain links in total. 1 fish-shaped chain link missing. ‘K.G. LUKE/ MELBOURNE/ AUSTRALIA’ embossed to reverse of smallest link.
