Rectangular, grey cardboard covers with brown label affixed to front cover (W: 116mm x H: 80mm) with faded gold coloured lettering to front ‘Photographic Views/of/PERTH/J. MANNING/ PHOTOGRAPHER, PERTH.’ Label has a rectangular border with flourishes to corners, sides, top and bottom. Label is faded and shows some signs of insect damage. Brown leather to spine.

Inside is a fold-out page of twelve sepia photographs adhered to linen backing, containing scenic views of Perth. The photographs include, top row left to right: 1) ST. ELIZA; 10) ST. GEORGE’S TERRACE/EAST; 11) APPROACH TO PERTH/FROM FREMANTLE ROAD; 12) HAY STREET/WEST.
Some discolouration to linen photographic backing.
Hand written black ink inscription to front cover of fold-out page ‘For Dear Fanny/from S.L.D.’ Lead pencil inscriptions above and below ink inscription: ‘19’ and ‘1880’. Further lead pencil inscription to back of fold-out page ‘WESLEY CHURCH’
