[1] Letter, Alice Freudenberg to Secretary: War Office, page 1, copy, 22/07/1945. Small, rectangular, yellowed, blue lined paper with black typewriter ink, letter, page one (unnumbered). Sent from ‘419 Rokeby Road/ S U B I A C O/ Perth./ Westernaustralia [sic]’, to ‘United Nations War Crimes Commission/ c/o. Secretary: War Office/ L O N D O N’. Reads; ‘As advised in the press that refugees having/ information regarding war criminals or members of the Nazi party/…/ It will be/ seen that after my husband’s reply to the doctor’s charges/[end of page]’. Reverse plain. Page folded into quarters, with small piece of clear tape on top and bottom of vertical centre fold.

[2] Letter, Alice Freudenberg to Secretary: War Office, page 2, copy, 22/07/1945. Small, rectangular, yellowed, blue lined paper with black typewriter ink, letter, page two (numbered). Reads ‘few of same were referred to again by the prosecutor and/ only irrelevant matter was mentioned in the doctor’s final letter (23.4/…/ Thanking you/ I remain/ Yours faithfully,[end of letter]’. Reverse plain. Page folded into quarters, with small pieces of clear tape over lower central vertical fold, top right corner and right edge of central horizontal fold. Staple holes in top left corner, rusted on reverse. Right side of lower edge has small amount of tearing.

[3] Letter, Alice Freudenberg to The Secretary/ WAR OFFICE, draft, 22/07/1945. Small, rectangular, yellowed, paper, with faded black typewriter ink, double sided, letter. Appears to be draft copy of [1-2], with handwritten pencil marks/editing on both sides and altered format. Page folded into quarters, horizontally. Rough top edge, appears to have been torn from notepad. Slight tearing/wear to lower left corner. Small rust spot to lower right edge.

[4] Letter, Alice Freudenberg to Prosecutions Section/ Legal Division Z.E.O., draft, 23/12/1948. Medium sized (A4), rectangular, thin, light blue paper with black typewriter ink, letter. Sent from ‘419 Rokeby Road,/ SUBIACO,/Western Australia’, to ‘Prosecution Section,/ Legal Devision [sic] Z.E.O.,/ 65 H.Q. C.C.G.,/ Herford/ B.A.O.R. 15’. Reads ‘I am in receipt of the file of papers,/ for which I thank you very much.’/…/ Thanking you in anticipation,/ Yours faithfully,/ ALICE FREUDENBERG.’. Reverse plain. Bottom corners bent/ turned under.
