WEDDING CAKE BOX

(.1) White cardboard box, closing flap printed with silver bows and flowers and 'THE/ CUPID/ WEDDING CAKE BOX'. Front face has an Australia two penny stamp, dated 1936, affixed to corner, silver cherub and bells and address written in grey ink; 'Miss L. Brown/ 31 Duncan Street/ Victoria Park/ W.A.' Reverse face has silver cherubs, 'The Cupid/ WEDDING CAKE BOX'. Box is rectangular, but top face slopes upward. (2) Silver coloured metal tin, with lid, that slides into wedding cake box. 2 pieces of cream paper, that were placed over cake, are inside tin. (3) Small cream compliments card, with silver border and silver printed standard words and greeting, names and date written in grey ink. 'Nee Miss Noel Broomhall/ WITH THE COMPLIMENTS OF/ Mr. & Mrs J. Arnold/ DATE 17th May 1936.' Remnants of fruit cake in tin.
