A black and white photograph taken from the upper chest to the head, of Senator Dorothy Tangney, who is looking away from the viewer. The photo is glued onto cardboard, and the caption under it reads 'Senator Dorothy Tangney/ First Woman member of the Senate of/ Federal Parliament/ and longest term of any women in the senate.' The cardboard on which the photo is glued is buff coloured, with perforations at its top corners, and in the middle of its bottom edge.
