SUPPER SET

H1994.137.1-7

Supper set consisting of six cream-glazed bread and butter or cake plates and an oval serving plate. The cake plates (1-6) are essentially round, with a slight waving along the edges producing a squarer, more decorative shape. Each plate is decorated with groups of green and gold lines, extending from the gold-rimmed edge towards the centre. A second gold rim marks the start of the deeper plate cavity. On the underside of each plate is the enamelled inscription 'ROYAL TUDOR WARE/ BARKER BROS LTD/ ENGLAND'. The inscription surrounds a crown symbol.
