BREECH COVER, RIFLE
H1993.320
Oblong canvas breech cover for a .303 Rifle S.M.L.E. The cover fits over the breech and is made to fit the contours of the rifle. It is closed by means of press studs. Two eyelets on the edge of the cover allow a string to be threaded through for attachment to a wire loop positioned just in front of the magazine of the rifle. The rifle may be operated in an emergency without losing the cover when it is removed.
